Acne is a skin condition that can affect people from all age groups and from all walks of life. However it mainly affects teenagers. As a teenager having can be emotionally traumatizing and everyone craves for free skin. There are countless creams, soaps, cleansers and medications in the market to cure acne, but these do not always work. By following a few simple pointers free skin can be reality. The first step to free skin is a healthy and balanced diet. Cut down on caffeine, smoking and alcohol. Stay away from sugar and refined carbohydrates. These encourage the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. Food items like fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and whole grains results in healthy skin. Water is essential for free skin. One of the bodys main processes is the purification of the blood, this is done by the kidneys. It removes the toxic wastes from food and other substances from our body. This system operates efficiently only if there is ample water in the body. And hence one needs to drink at least eight to ten glasses of water a day for the body to flush out harmful toxins and to get free skin. Acne free skin is also a result of regular exercise. Regular exercise means exercise for at least thirty minutes, five days a week. Exercise improves blood circulation and helps clear

toxins from the body. Also exercise relieves stress which is another reason for and it releases endorphins. Endorphins are the bodys feel good substance and this reflects well on your skin. To have free skin, it is important to ensure that your skin is always clean. Follow a strict cleanse, tone and moisturize routine every morning and evening. Exfoliate your skin once a week to remove deep dirt particles and dead skin cells. During the course of the day wash your face many times with plain water to constantly remove dirt particles. Also if you use make up opt for the oil free and non-comedogenic variety. And ensure that you remove all traces of make up before going to sleep. Protect your skin from the sun and harsh weather to ensure free skin. One myth is that tanning helps clear acne. This is false because tanning makes skin less pliable and hence less able to shed dead skin cells and oil. This clogs pores worsening acne. Also wear a sunscreen of SPF 15 UVA and UVB rating when going out. And lastly get plenty of rest to ensure free skin. Everybody requires at least six to eight hours of sleep every night. This helps the body recharge. Acne free skin can be a reality. Instead of opting for the countless solutions available in the market, a few lifestyle changes should do the trick!
